Love the name Brent! Got it handed to me this morning. I was on birds but they all had hens. Checked my cams when I was headed out. After looking them over tonight I may need to do an afternoon hunt. Seems most of the birds I was on this morning are showing back up around 4pm alone.

I'm going after them this morning. Maybe I will run up on a stupid one.

I didn't do any good but Teamduckdown did.

Struck out yesterday afternoon. Had a 6:30 meeting for work so no morning for me. I hope the cold weather keeps them shut up till everybody gets tired and goes home Saturday.

I went opening morning with Atoler and we got on one, but couldnt get him away from his hens. Went yesterday on a new 40 acre lease that I had permission to hunt and didnt see or hear anything. Also didnt see much sign. I don't have many places to go for myself as far as private land, but I am hoping I will get to kill one or two with Atoler if he can start knocking some down. Hope to be good for 2 birds in Oklahoma with Dylan. I just need a confidence boost. I havent killed a gobbler since April of 2014 and its killing me. Hope to change that soon!

Had one gobbling his head off at crows this morning from 7-730, right after the rain slacked up. He was CLOSE...close enough I was scared to get any closer. He gobbled 1 more time around 8 then I never heard him again

I got about as close to sealing the deal this morning as you can get without actually shooting a bird.

2 birds gobbling good on the roost. After fly down one came my way. Ended up coming up directly behind me (worst possible thing he could've done). Watched him strut for over an hour about 80 yds away but I couldn't move on him bc he had a hen with him and she had me pinned down.

They ended up wandering off and totally disappeared. Have to wait until Friday for another chance at him.

Well, I killed a 2nd bird. But i think i killed the most genetically retarded bird on the planet . He wouldn't fly down until 830. He gobbled 200 times. Had a full fan. But he had no beard and no spurs. No sign of ever having either. He weighed 20lbs 6 0z... I not going to bother entering him, because I feel like i can do better. I dont think 20 points will help us much. Lol

Missed one this morning then killed one at 12. 17.5 pounds, 10.25 inch bears, One spur was an inch and an eighth, the other was an inch and a sixteenth.

Good job fellas. The birds on my club have disappeared. Gone, puff, vanished. I've got some theories but I hope to at least contribute.

Good job guys. I'll post some up at some point when I get caught up; between spending time with family and hunting I haven't been on as much. Been a good start so far though:). I will try to upgrade from here on out but will get these posted soon.

Great looking gun and bird Brent. I haven't posted any of mine to the contest thread yet but have pics for that and measurements. All of them will prob score close to the same; falling between 50-60.

I'm a bit of turkey gun junky; hence why there is a different gun with each bird. I'll admit I have a problem haha:).

Well fellas im one shy of my bama limit. Bit only have 2 birds that will help. Ive killed one bird with no beard and no spurs. And this morning i killed my 4th bird and he had no spurs. Neither would be much help to us in the scoring. But i do still have one im yet to post. Ive still got 3 outta state trips, so i figure woth amy luck I'll definitely add a 3rd bird.

I've gotten close 3 different times but have yet to seal the deal.....maybe this weekend is the weekend.
