A LOT of baseball players wear them often. They work.
Don't forget Yankee duck hunters, too. They eat that crap up.

My grandpa never wore his bent. But it was a different time. I remember getting a new hat bending it and putting a rubber band around the bill. That was the style back then
We will burn that bridge when we get there

There is a difference in this... And this.... Agreed!
Its better to sit in a stand and think about God, then to sit in church and think about hunting.

What's the deal with people wearing them way up on the top of their head?

I remember my first day of formation after we were issued our BDU's at basic training. I did what any red blooded southern boy would do and bent the bill of my hat. While the drill sergeant was walking by us for inspection he stopped in front of me and asked. " where you from boy?" I said Alabama! He then snatched that hat off my head and started stomping on it yelling " this ain't no G$d damn John Deere hat and you ain't on the farm anymore! This hat and your ass belongs to the United States Army!" After I did twenty push ups I stood up and never bent the bill of that hat again.

When I was a kid playing little league we creased our bill in the middle so the hat would fit in your back pocket. This was because you road you bicycle as fast as you could and the wind could knock it off your head. You couldn't use a hand to hold it on your head cause one was already holding a bat with your glove slid down it over your shoulder. That and playing cards clothes pinned to your frame and sticking in your spokes and you were ready for summer.

I can remember back in the early 70's seeing folks that wouldn't just bend the hat bill but put an actual crease in it making it into a "v" pattern. THAT was a stupid look. I don't care how my boy wears his hat as long as he doesn't try the sagging britches look. THEN we would have a problem.

Everything on Aldeer has a way of circling back around. I can't stand the current flat billed cap trend that immulates the hip hop/skater punk look. Will not wear or let my boys wear them, period. But...a modern baseball cap designed that way as a functional sun shade I'm perfectly fine with them wearing. There's a big difference.

Pick and choose your battles gentlemen. If the 8yo wants to wear a flat bill I ain't picking that one. To each his own.
