Exactly as Shaw said it was a 55gr head and a 5.5 gpi arrow, not a 350 grain arrow at 30 in and 70 lbs

Ya'll read up on the HCA Speed Pro shafts. His chrono may be off some, but they are shooting some silly speeds with them because they are super light weight arrows.

The arrow he shot weighed in the 260 to 270gr. range.

It's kinda one of those deals where you would have to see to believe, I would have never thought it would reach that on a shorter draw andas stated before the chrono may have been off idk, but like Shaw said look up some of the speeds they are shooting with these arrows it's ridiculous.

Aren't they dangerously close to basically dry firing the bows?

For some reason I thought you stated the arrow was 5.5g per pound, not gpi. Still find 42fps over Ibo hard to believe, could certainly see it beating ibo with that light of an arrow on a short draw.

You wouldn't want to shoot it much like that. I'd imagine you would have a blowup within 100 shots

The arrow was cut as short as possible for the drop away and the chrono could have been off some I'm not sure, but there are plenty of guys out there shooting over 400 fps with these arrows, to me yes they are dangerous and flirting with disaster but this was just one of those let's see what it will do type things

Probably wasn't the smartest thing to do on a brand new bow either, but I'm still shooting it to this day

I remember when hoytboy14 was playing around with those speed pro shafts. I never saw the chrono #, but they were absolutely flying.
