Do you put the bead on his head, mid neck or wattles?

Whatever I can see, I've shot several that I had a small window on with just their head or just their neck showing when I touched it off.

I aim at the major caruncles, if it's within about 10 yards. I aim at the wattles, mid neck, from about 10 to 40 yards. I put the bead on the top of his head at 60 yards.

I know people that aim at the beard and some that aim at the head, therefore I aim at the wattle in case of user error.

Heard that I"ve always aimed at the wattles thinking the whole bird has to move to miss verse a head shot ... That head can move in the blink of an eye.

I've only killed 6 in my life, 4 last year, so I'm no turkey killin' expert. All were mid-neck with just the head showing above the front site.

I can't say I "aim". It's always just kind of second nature for me. The bead is there subconsciously but I never really focus on it.

If you're aiming at the wattles, you're aiming at the middle of the neck.

Where skin meets feathers. 45 yards mid neck over 55 top of head. The Merriam I killed in Nebraska last may thought he was at 40 turned out he was 55 yards, range finder said it was so.

if i hadnt taken up hunting i might have became a juvenile delinquent or worst taken up GOLF
