IMO.... I have been reading this forum all season so far and to me it seems that the Northern zone has harvested bigger, better and more Quality bucks than the southern zone has to this point. What are yall's feelings on the matter? They say the proof is in the pudding or is this site the wrong pudding bowl?
I love all of Gods creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes and gravy.

53.... No B&C'S which I have been fortunate to recover as of yet which means yes I have pulled the trigger on a couple over the 170" mark and I do have two P&Y's. Why do you ask?

I won't get into too many specifics but I have been fortunate enough to hunt Dallas county and Baldwin county all of my life and there is just no comparison. The deer down here in extreme southwest bama just don't get that big plain and simple. You folks go ahead and crucify me all you want. Next time you kill a big 5.5 year old buck down here and he scores over 100 you might as well have killed a Boone and Crockett. I have read where there are a totally different subspecies of deer down here that are a lot smaller compared to the northern counties but then I have seen 140 and 150"+ deer that have been killed down here decades ago......just none recently. I have hunted perdido WMA a good bit. The biggest bodied deer I have heard coming from there was 184lbs. A good friend of mine killed a 3.5 year old 7pt that may have scored 65 or 70 last weekend. He weighed 130lbs. That seems typical for down here.
