I posted this in the general discussion board, but thought maybe this is a better place for my question.

Just wondering if many folks plan to hunt the special opportunity hunt on Lowndes WMA Feb 5th-6th. A group of friends and I are headed down on Thursday to primarily hog hunt, but definitely won't turn down any opportunity that presents itself.

A specific question that I have that maybe someone can answer.... I will be bowhunting only. The guidelines for the special opportunity hunt(gun hunt) says antlered deer only. Does that apply to bowhunters? That may be a dumb question, but I'd rather sound dumb to y'all instead of sounding dumb when I try to talk myself out of a ticket.

Antlered bucks only for everybody and there are antler restrictions as well. I believe its 3 on one side.Be prepared to see a lot of people. I've hunted a bunch of the state WMAs and I've seen more people on Lowndes than any other. With that being said I have never had a bad experience there and with all the folks in the woods the deer will be moving. I will probably be there one of the days. Good luck!

Buck only, 3 point on one side. There will be a shitton of ppl. Wear as much orange as possible. Have your permit, signed and dated and hunting license ready when you get to the check station. Make sure you have s backup to the back up plan for where you are going to hunt. Shoot me a pm if you need anything while y'all are down here.
