Fine rifles there. I sold one just like the black stainless several years ago. I loaned it to a friend that was having issues with his old Marlin 336 and eventually he wanted to buy it. He's killed dozens of deer with it.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

If I believe that was the first year for the 260, and have heard some grumblings about how they wouldn't shoot due to inappropriate twists in the early rifles. I remember a friend of mine got one for Christmas in 97 or 98 and they never could get it to shoot.

Shot a box through it today just piddlin and it shot great with the cheapass Simmons..Maybe my Leupold will be in the next few days and I'll really get it sighted in and see how she groups. Also I got to try the 7-08 out today..Climbing up my ladder into my tripod and this one came out across the clearcut..First shot didn't exit but the smaller hole on the right is the entrance. He spun around on the first shot and I put anothern in him.Big hole is exit on 2nd shot..I never even made it in my tripod and he didn't go but 40 yards.140gr Nosler Partition at around 150 yards.Thought he was bigger but he's gonna eat just fine.

Awesome! Do you know if you can replace the bolt shroud in the models with the J-lock to eliminate it? I'd never use it and it just looks ugly and messes up the lines of an otherwise beautiful rifle.

My son's model 7 has a really short youth stock on it now but I will need to swap it out for a standard stock before next season

My son's model 7 has a really short youth stock on it now but I will need to swap it out for a standard stock before next season Well I'll have two black synthetic stocks if you can use one.The one that came on my 7-08 was a factory stock and honestly cheap looking and felt cheap. The one on this 260 is more like a B&C stock with the texture and I actually like it for a synthetic stock but its gotta go cause I don't do synthetic. I had considered the B&C grey/black web stock for this one just cause I figured it would look good but I can't spend $275 on a synthetic stock. If you want either of these let me know.I also have a brand new 2 piece stainless Leupold base for a Mod7 to if you need it.
