I think there was already a thread on this.

I watched video on the site. Whether its legal, fun, or whatever, I hated the guys reaction when he shot the bison. He acted like he had never shot the thing before? Why would you hunt a big game animal like that if you have never used the equipment. Dumb.

Anyway, it looks fun to shoot, but I don't see the point.

It's gonna cause a lot of controversy...because now it brings into question what is a bow? And what is a gun?...really cool idea and all tho but I tend to lean towards it being more of a gun...

If by legal you mean illegal...then yes?!? Airbows do not conform to the legal arms, ammunition, and equipment for hunting in Alabama at this time.

Interesting. Their website shows that it is legal for deer in Alabama.

I understand that bows shoot arrows, and this shoots arrows, but why is it called a bow. There is no bow to it.

Some good ol Alabama rednecks tried hunting with something like that several years ago. A GW told me they caught 2 guys "bow" hunting with single shot 410's. The guys had cut the shot out of the shells, loaded the gun, then slid the arrow down the barrel. The GW said powder burns on the deer did the hunters in. I can't verify the story but I had no trouble believing it.

It shows in the link that it has been approved for whitetail in Alabama. Maybe crossman knows something that we don't know or who really knows.

It'd probably be fun to shoot but doubt I rush out to buy one. I'll stick to my old switchback xt for bow hunting

I don't doubt that story one bit.

Check the regulation 220-2-.02 and 220-2-.03. Air guns are legal, .30 caliber and larger, but not airbows. They also do not meet the legal specifications for a bow and arrow. Don't believe every thing you read on the Internet.

Not saying this won't change and airbows become legal, because legal arms and ammo have changed a lot over the last several years.

You should post this in the bow section and watch the meltdown ensue.

Fantastic idea. I can hear the tampon wrappers now.

As for the air bow gun thing, I think it's pretty cool. I would love to hunt with it.

I wish they would do away with gun season altogether and make people use this or normal bows. Imagine the size deer we could have in a few years.

Or have October conventional bow season, november airbow season, then gun season for 2 days in December.

Some would literally lose their minds over that weapon.

I would love to hunt with it too! The only point I don't see is me, personally, spending money for it. So whenever you buy one, invite me over EHH! wink

I hope it's not legal in Alabama anytime soon
