H&R .410 single shot. First time to ever dove hunt, Dad bought me one box of shells. Killed 5 and do not think I have ever had a 1 for 5 average since....
First gun I bought was a Rem. sportsman 78 in .270 in 1986 and it is still going strong.

First real gun was a 20 gauge single shot. Kicks like a mad mule. I think I got it when I was 14. I had to wait until my little brother was big enough to get a gun before I could get one. I'm still mad about that. smile

By the time I was 16, I decided that if I ever had a son, I wouldn't get him a single shot shotgun. The recoil from that little 20 ga will wear a grown man out.

Got my son an 870 youth.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Stevens bolt action .410 with a tube style magazine in 1978. It sitting in the safe, and still shoots the occasional limb rat.

I got my first rifle Christmas 1970. Winchester Model 1890 .22 pump, 24" octagon barrel. It shot .22 shorts only.

It takes a long time to grow an old friend.

Model 64 wichester set. Has a .22 lever action, .22 mag and 30/30. Complete box set and I still have the original boxes they came in

I would rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

My grandfather bought me my first. It's a Sears & Roebuck single shot 20g.
I still have it and it's killed a few treerats.

1967...11 years old and about a week before deer season opened my parents bought me a new Browning Sweet 16. Killed a lot of deer, rabbits, and squirrels with it. About the only thing I use it for now is doves when I can afford shells for it...lol.
