Sitting here in my recliner after a good supper, wife watching tv, done got my last pinch of snuff for the night, completely relaxed/bout to snooze....and it happens! Felt like someone stabbed my flipping ankle!! Jump out the chair to find one of Satan's most hellious Demons stinging my foot(Guinea wasp)!!!! Since the weather has changed in the last week and half, we have been killing them every evening when we come in from work. We built a new house and have been in it about 4-5 months. We have a nice fireplace and I'm almost wondering if this is "Hells gate". Gonna have to say some extra prayers for the words that might have came out. My wife's dog almost died of a heart attack/punt to the face when he ran in front of me. So I'm spread out on the cowhide rug almost ready to light this place up and my wife just dies out laughing. She got me a bandaid and I put some skoal on it. We have officially declared war on the little devils!!!
Rant over

I hate them with a passion. I woke up to go hunting one morning grabbed my long handle shirt put my arm in and BAM!! Woke everyone up yelling. No coffee needed after a red wasp lights you up at 430 am.
Check your windows for gaps that's where we were getting some from before we replaced our windows. If you choose fire as an option to destroy the evil I understand! Man that ain't no way to start the day! Talk about waking up on the wrong side the bed lol! That's the thing though, our house is brand new, with no gaps in the windows! But I will find them and kill each one and send them back to the depths of hell in which they originate.

Guinea wasp bad news. They've sent my poor old allergic daddy to hospital a time or 2.

I seem to be immune to being stung even though I am at least a little allergic. I can walk by the same nest 10 times with no ill effects and when the kid walks by they zap him.
I kill them with gusto when they invade my and don't allow me to catch them and put them outside.

I have occasional problems with those big orange bastages coming in. One time I was asleep in my bed and one of them decided to share my pillow. I rolled over and got stung on my neck. Not a good way to wake up.
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

I remember years ago when I would make the long drive t south Ga for their opening weekend with my brother. We rolled into camp about 9 and had a couple of drinks then retired to the shack wore out and relaxed. I unrolled my sleeping back and slid in falling asleep almost instantly. I woke moments minutes later in pure terror as the end of the bag was full of yellow jackets. Scared for life would be an understatement.

Yeah most likely your chimney. Just the other day I went to light a fire, opened the flue and about 20 of the buggers fell out right onto my hand. Scared the crap out of me, but luckily because it was cold they weren't moving much so I didn't get any bites/stings. I grabbed 2 aim n flamer lighters set the fake log on fire, closed the mesh screen and stood on guard for the next 30 mins 1 in each hand.

Was gonna light a fire over Thanksgiving till I saw the weather report for South AL. But I may do it anyway! Can't have none that mess happen again. Naw Naw Hey!
