A friend of mine has a Ranger that he installed a cheap winch onto the top roll-bar (the bar supports the roof). Winch was $79 from tractor supply. I think it has a 1000# capability. I forgot to take a picture of it but I will do so the next time I hunt his place.

He cut a piece of plywood that fits barely inside the bed. When he shoots a deer he uses the plywood as a ramp and winches the deer up into the bed. Easy. By himself.

$79 is much better than having back surgery...

Why not just throw it in the front seat?

Knew a perfectly healthy guy in his late 30s that had a heart attack after dragging a deer to the truck. Gotta be careful and take it easy.

If he had a heart attack from dragging a deer, he wasn't perfectly healthy.

The feller that worked with me had a winch on the front and back of his. He built a T shaped bracket with a pulley on it. When my four wheeler was down he brought his utv to help load up a deer I killed. He free spooled his winch, put the cable around the pulley, wrapped it around the bucks chest and picked it right up. Then we swung it in the bed. Simply easy

I use a small block and tackle that stays with my 4 wheeler. I use a ratchet strap to secure it to a tree and get the head and most of the deer off the ground. Then I pick the rear end up and swing it onto the rack and cinch it down with another ratchet strap, let the head down, secure it and I'm on my way. I'm not gonna work myself into a heart accack or stroke just to load a dead deer.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.
