When you kill a deer its hard to lie when you've been pinned out.

When you kill a deer its hard to lie when you've been pinned out. You don't have to lie about the dead ones. Who wants to hunt a dead one, anyway?

When you kill a deer its hard to lie when you've been pinned out. Not if you rip that sheet out at the sign out board. Some folks will do anything to try and cover it up.

It all started 2 weeks ago when I showed him this picture and he realized it was near "One" of "His" many ladder stands. Loose lips sink ships, SMH. If you really wanta hunt that spot, go somewhere else and lay down some sign. Make some rubs and scrapes. A claw hammer makes the best rubs. Get the biggest deer foot you can from a processor , stick a wedge up in it and spread the hooves. Put that "big foot" track in your scrapes. Ahhhhh, hunin' clubs, don't miss them one bit.

It's been several years since I was in a club but I remember we had one guy hunting not 100yds right outside of the camp due to some well placed scrapes. He hunted it all season waiting on the "big un".

Doesn't everyone cut down trees with rubs on them so no one else will find them? I've watched this happen on more than one occasion.

I'm starting to understand why people hate them. I didn't realize that taking off work on a Friday and doing an all day sit was considered "Camping out on a spot". AND I was one of only 3 people on 1800 acres. The 4th got pissed when he showed up Friday afternoon and I was hunting near "His Spot" Out of curiosity, Where about is your club located? County, city?

Well dang, if there's really a huntable number of rubs or a few really big ones, wouldn't the cut downs be a give away? If I'm doing that much work , I'm movin' that feller across the property.

Feller that was doing it had the place looking like a clear cut though.

I could see cutting down a big one here or there on the side of the road , but clusters. Just figure out where he's coming from , head him off and kill him.

The picture Tru-Talker is talking about is on our counter at the camp. A guy's son shot a deer and spine shot it. The kid was freaked out because it was laying there flopping like a fish out of water. The dad did what I hope any of you would do and put it out of it misery. The funny part and why it is framed was because they didn't know the camera was there. It belonged to another member and when he checked his camera and seen what was on it he printed it out and framed it as a joke. This is how Tru-Talker told me the story and so has a few of the other members. Also just to clarify the story since the "Truth" is what is being told it's a youth model 7-08 and I've seen the kid shoot and he's a pretty good shot to be so "scared" of it.

Hunted with one fella who whittled out from a 4x4 a nice big deer print maker and screwed with the club azzhole to no end.
