They told me mine should ship by Nov 14th. That is still within the 90 days promised from when I paid (8/18).

Yep mine is pushed too. I see where others are starting to get theirs, but it's starting to piss me off

that s the bad thing about china, sometimes it takes a while to get. The thing I love about them though is the price. China will build something to the specs of a company, then turn around and use them exact specs to make a clone, sometimes even make the product better. It would amaze folks how many clones are out there. And some of the clones are better than the actual product and much cheaper.

I just got the "will ship within two weeks" email (saying my order is being filled now), so I guess mines actually coming. From what I've been reading, the ones getting theirs are pleased. I sure hope mine is nice enough for an ALDeer sticker or I'm gonna be pissed off after all this waiting.

I think RTIC would have done better to just send a letter to those that had actually paid and told them the truth .... which I'm guessing is something along the line of they are working through issues with their Chinese supplier and trying to make sure nothing crappy gets out the door, and getting them up to max manufacturing speed ... which is leading to greater delay than anticipated.

By all means, please post a pic of it when you have the cooler in hand & let us know what you think about it. It appears they have started trying to get into the tumbler market too & I'm afraid that is where the pre-order capital went.

I had one ordered and the delivery date got pushed back 2x. I requested a refund. I'm not liking the business practice they have.

How quickly did you get your refund?

RTIC figured out a way to crowdsource fund their business. You may eventually get a cooler but I don't like that kind of shady business practice.

That and they basically stole from Yeti's success.

My impression is that once they have the operation up to full speed, one will be able to order from them and receive a few days later. Those of us who preordered just didn't realize the extent to which we would be dealing with growing pains. They should have communicated better.

I hear you, and understand what you're saying. From what I've looked into they haven't violated any laws. I've always felt YETI was gouging the public ... I just can not fathom that it takes that much money to make a cooler. I knew someone would eventually offer it for half price.

If I was Yeti, I would buy the RTIC company and start a product line off it. Even if they shut down RTIC, the barn doors are open ... everyone now knows the coolers are being sold for twice what they should be, and another company will spring up to exploit this market.

RTIC knew what they were doing from the get go. Offer different sizes and colors, see which particular one had the most "reserves", and then ask for everyone's money up front to fund that particular size and color cooler. They no doubt knew what the lead times from China would be prior to setting up a website. From what I've read, the only/majority of folks that have received their cooler were people from Texas that stopped by their showroom and also posted about it on random forums.
I ended up getting a Pelican 35 from Amazon for $165.00 shipped (took 2 days to receive) and it is an extremely well made cooler with a lifetime warranty.

I cancelled my reservation. I went with an Engel. Definitely not as good as my Yetis, but it will do for what I need it for.

No I didn't and Thursday will be the end of the "within two weeks" statement they mentioned. I'll call them Friday if I don't receive a shipment email by Thursday.
