Cant even think of the last time i needed a cooler You don't kill any deer? Catch any fish? Enjoy cold beverages after work on a hot summer day? Go to a friends house for a party where there is no room in the fridge? Go camping? Have power outages and need to keep the good stuff?

they claim shipment of pre-orders by early 2016.
they keep pushing the ship by date... They told me mine should ship by Nov 14th. That is still within the 90 days promised from when I paid (8/18).

that s the bad thing about china, sometimes it takes a while to get. The thing I love about them though is the price. China will build something to the specs of a company, then turn around and use them exact specs to make a clone, sometimes even make the product better. It would amaze folks how many clones are out there. And some of the clones are better than the actual product and much cheaper.

By all means, please post a pic of it when you have the cooler in hand & let us know what you think about it. It appears they have started trying to get into the tumbler market too & I'm afraid that is where the pre-order capital went.

RTIC figured out a way to crowdsource fund their business. You may eventually get a cooler but I don't like that kind of shady business practice.

I hear you, and understand what you're saying. From what I've looked into they haven't violated any laws. I've always felt YETI was gouging the public ... I just can not fathom that it takes that much money to make a cooler. I knew someone would eventually offer it for half price. If I was Yeti, I would buy the RTIC company and start a product line off it. Even if they shut down RTIC, the barn doors are open ... everyone now knows the coolers are being sold for twice what they should be, and another company will spring up to exploit this market.

I cancelled my reservation. I went with an Engel. Definitely not as good as my Yetis, but it will do for what I need it for.
