If a person was going to spend a week down there and get in on chasing/rut activity which week would you pick. Jan 7-10,Jan 21-24 or Feb 4-7??

Two years ago the 17-24 hunt was AWESOME!!!...last year that same week was dead as a hammer. Biologist said it was already over last year.

We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.

Go some land close by and usually see'em chasing around the last 2 weekends of January most of the time.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

I use to hunt land contiguous to the WMA around Mt Andrew in the 70's and early 80's and the rut was all over the place. Most of the rut then was in mid to late Dec.

This will be my first deer season in the state. Didn't want my first post on the site to be a new thread (newb who knows his place). So aside from the obvious stuff in the guide on outdooralabama.com what are some recommendations and "must-do's" for navigating the WMAs here in Alabama? Thanks in advance.

Ill second the above comment. Some of my best spots that i can rely on seeing deer are about 2 miles one way.
