Has anyone had any luck shooting mature deer with Shine's Acorn Scent? I forgot to spray some out one time and just sprayed it on my climber. Had a deer walking underneath me for a while trying to find it.

I've tried it before but couldn't tell you that it worked or not. I saw deer but they didn't seem to pay it any attention.

I spray it on my arrows, I have missed one before and shot the deer while they were sniffing the arrow stuck in the ground

If the deer don't like it, at least I do. It smells like Dale's with brown sugar and vanilla.

I love the stuff for putting deer at ease. I use it late season in a whiteoak bottom and it seems to pull deer out of the thicker surrounding cover even though the acorns fell months before. Never seen a deer spook because of it. Was that in a sanctuary...couldn't resist it lol!

I use it occasionally. I had a spike come in and start eating the leaves off the ground where I had sprayed it. Whether or not it "attracts" them or not, I have no idea.

use it and like it. I spray it on boots and bottom of pants legs, and occasionally out of the stand . have had deer follow me to my stand, or come from downwind looking for it. I would probably be smarter to use as a drag and hand away from my stand to keep from getting busted. Hasn't happened yet, but sooner or later a flop head is going to look straight up at me and blow .

Read instructions. Walk past your tree downwind and spray a bush. Eliminates the deer stopping at your tree. Then continue to bitch about something that works well. Lmao.

Back around 2002-04: Shine's worked well for me. Had lots of deer (mostly does) come in very close and not get spooked. Had my chest freezer FULL of deer meat.
Last year 2014-15: Bought a new bottle and began using it again. Deer wouldn't come anywhere close. The few deer I saw at a distance spooked and ran at 100 yards. Deer must not like a warm vanilla scent nowadays.
