Got a doe and 2 fawns in the plot grazing at 60 yards. No spots on the 2 young deer. At what point do you guys cut off on shooting a doe with fawns?

At what point do you guys cut off on shooting a doe with fawns? I have always been told if they don't have spots they are old enough to live on their own.

Got a doe and 2 fawns in the plot grazing at 60 yards. No spots on the 2 young deer. At what point do you guys cut off on shooting a doe with fawns? If they don't have spots they'll live. After that it just becomes a personal choice. If the young still seem dependent upon mom, I'll let them all walk so that they can learn from her. If they're just with her, that mom can die lol.

Spots or no spots, if fawn-aged deer are following a doe, I won't shoot the doe.
83% of all statistics are made up.

Hunting Bankhead National Forest this morning. Set up in a bottom on some rained out scrapes. White Oaks putting the acorns off really good. Only bad thing is the wind swirls in bottoms. Maybe the thermals will help me out. Good luck y'all. You must be piddlin' where I was gonna piddle. No trucks at pull offs all the way through to where I was going this afternoon and someone parked where I intended to go. Oh well, that's public land. I drive a White Toyota 4x4 two door. If it was me you where out in the middle of nowhere. Lol. I think I saw JD, we were in the black Nissan. Had one blow at us.

Man there are 5 bucks in front of me, 3 young bucks, a very old 6 I've seen for years, probably 7 y/o and 1 biiiiiig buck. I got a longbow and they're about 200 yards away. Light is dying quick and it just started pouring. I think I may be SOL.

Damn, they all came within 60 yards and then kept feeding straight to my east, I needed them to come south into the woods where I am. Oh well, great hunt. I'm gonna shoot that old six and if see that 150+ again and he is in within 20 yards he dead too lol.

We saw two does and a bobcat all out of range but it was a good time with little man in the stand with me!
The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week. Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.
The only time a married woman gives those is if your not married to them!
