What are the official rules on carrying a pistol during bow season? Legal with a ccl? Is it skirting the lines of legality?

I've heard the game warden around where I hunt is young and trying to prove himself, don't want to run into any ticket trouble, but I do want to carry as well.

They put out a statement a couple years ago saying it was legal on wma I thought.

Best Idea is give him a call and ask.

I would think with state's open carry law now just about anyone is a lawfully authorized person now unless you're a felon or wife beater or something.

The game warden at Daniels dove hunt made it absolutely clear that you can carry a side arm for personal protection during bow or gun season for that matter.

I tote a 10mm a lot. Wonder if they'd try to say that my intention was to hunt with it?

Legal now on WMA's but you must have a concealed carry permit. On private land you do not have to have a permit.

I was scouting for turkey at skyline wma and had my 9mm on me and another guy there told me it was a big no no so I never took it back! But anywhere else I always have 1 in the chamber and at least 12-15 in the mag! Too many story's of black panther at the hunting club lol!
