Are you looking for a do it all shotgun, or just a good Duck and Turkey auto loader?

just a suggestion I have a stoger model 2000 and a baretta Xtrema 2000 there great guns especially the Barreta but if your not wanting to pay 1500-2000 for a shotgun the stogers are great to. however, the baretta weight feels like its balanced out better might just be me lol. good luck smile

Go get an escort magnum. ~$400 out the door and great gun. I have low brass up to turkey shot out of mine and it's cycled everything. The fiber optic sight makes skeet shooting easy.

Escorts are much better than tristars. If you can find a stoeger semi in your price range, they make a great gun as well.

Another vote for the Stoegers - love my 3500. If you look at used stoegers, I'd shy away from the 2000's....some were great, some where lemons (particularly the early ones). The 2000 was replaced by the 3000 (3" gun) and the 3500 (3.5") and they are great guns.

The M2000 was a 3" gun and according to Benelli /Beretta , they had less repair issues with the M2000 , per gun made, than with any othe gun they manufactured.

Beretta's A300 Outlander is about half the price of their great A400 but with all the most important features.

that may be, but the [early] 2000's were notorious. Do a quick google search Again, the ones that were good, were VERY good....nearly flawless, even. but there were quite a few lemons thrown in too. the 3000/3500's seem to be MUCH more consistent.

it was the bolt carrier spring in the 2000's that was causing the problems. From what I understood.I like my stoeger. But if I had it to do all over again would have went with beretta a300 because of weight, but I just had to the 3.5 inch

I had a m2000 I loved the way if handled but it did jam on me a good bit.
