Tomcat I. I have 2 left and one old TII. I wish I had bought 5 before they went out of business. 14lbs and easy to set up and climb quiet as a mouse. They only suck when a deer comes in from behind.

Go-to? I go-to which ever stand I have set up where I think the deer are going to be. I hate carrying a climber in, and getting a little sweaty doing that. I'm good with:
ladders
shooting houses
ground blinds
lock ons
tripods
propped against a tree
and even climbers if I don't already have a set-up ready.

I have killed a bunch of deer with a bow out of closed front climbers by leaning out against the rail and relying on my harness to do its job. I don't leave a lot of slack vertically with it, so I'm leaning against the strap as much as the rail.

Gorilla lock on. Has the millenium type seat. You can sit all day and not actually hurt.

Summitt viper all day sit and comfy.I bought a Hawk brand last year that is very comfortable and stable but it is so heavy that my son is going to inherit it this year.I bought an x-stand off of the sportsmans guide that will be my second go to this year.

Lock ons: api baby grands
Big dog(forgot which model, the one with the seat like a summit)
Climbers: summit viper
Ladder stands: only have one and I hate it. Uncomfortable and easy to see, someone will steal it as I have a problem with trespassers.

I love the api baby grands. Stable as heck and a wide platform. And light as a feather! I can hang them waaay up in the air in a big poplar and not have to worry about em when I get in them. I've made a lot of all day sits and killed several good bucks out of em.

I like the summit viper. For a ladder stand I like RiversEdge Oasis.

I've always liked the buckshot climbers, but last year I tried a treewalker. The treewalker will be my go to stand from now on.

X3 plus the Alpha hang on & LW sticks. Most comfortable & secure stand ever hunted out of and quiet. Like the security of a 350 lb rated stand that is light. After hunting out of a Lone Wolf, I won't risk my life saving money on a cheaper brand.

Late post but in my opinion can't beat a cougar claw.

I prefer my millinium lock-ons, but if need the climber, it's the summit Goliath. Both are very comfortable.
