Hopefully we'll get rain. With my work schedule it would help a lot to be able to get everything in the ground a little early this year. I have to go through Eutaw tomorrow, so I'm going to stop off at WMS and pick up my seed. Guess I'll keep a check on Mother Nature after that

Some time during the first half of October, it depends on the rain forecast.

Of course this is in the 1% chance that they make after the legion of army worms get them. You turkey hunters don't know nothin bout this deer hunting. Don't ya'll know all serious deer hunters quit planting on labor day weekend at least 12-15 years ago. It just doesn't work anymore. I bet you're probably using plain brown bags and not the bags with big bucks on it. smile

Planted late October and early November last year, but this year I'm trying to move it up a good bit to get that early bow season draw of the food plots on those bachelor groups of bucks. Maybe middle to late September depending on rain patterns. Winter peas, BF Oats, and Triticale

Planted 2 small plots today....about 1/4 acre a piece. They are in a 9 acre highway of thick nasty stuff. Split the fields even between 50lbs of austrian peas and 50lbs of a wheat, rye, clover mix. Also 50lbs of 13-13-13 with micro nutrients. Maybe this will work?
