No Dodge. Fiat makes them. No Chevy. Too many transmission, engine and sensor issues. Google it.
If not a Toyota I'd definitely say Ford. Like Rebel said though, I don't think your gonna buy a full size 4x4 for 33k. A Tacoma 4x4 Double cab can be bought close to that price. Might want to try your google machine on those pos ford f-150's Faulty brake pedal Faulty steering Motor issues Ford is where it's at. Piss off homo!!!! Shut your face. You done said you would buy a Silverado if you could. Go squeeze some chocolate milk or something

I want: 4x4 (only need once or twice a year, but when you need it you need it) 4 door crew cab AC, Heat, Radio other than that I don't give a crap
My current truck (in the effin shop) is a 4x4 Ford XL. Other than being in the shop, it is fine.
What would you buy? Another F150 XL Chevy Dodge (gas or diesel?)
They are all going to run ~#33k-ish
What year and How many miles on the current truck? What kind of issues is it giving? Is it paid for?
The fool tells me his reasons; the wise man persuades me with my own.

Even my brother who is a die hard Chevy guy(and runs a shop) will admit the Chevys of the last 10 years have a bunch of issues. He did tell me a couple weeks back that one of the Ford engines had several problems while the other was good. I drive a car and have an old f250 I bought to hunt out of but would have bought an old Chevy if I'd found one. Other than Toyota I don't have any real brand loyalty.

I've always drove chevrolets. I've never had many problems out of mine. If you treat me right and take care of them they will return the favor. And..... Ford sucks!

I too have a large customer base that are both mechanic shops and used car dealers. Ford versus Chevy from 03-07 ford loses hands down no contest.

I bought a used F150 2013 model with 4k miles for about that last year. If you take time and look they are out there. I was a chevy driver for many years but the past two trucks have been Fords.

My Tacoma brand new back in 05 was 34,000. I looked at some new double cab Chevys. They like 45-60,000.

I'll never buy a new truck. Too d@mn expensive. I bought a 04 Sierra 2500 crew 4wd for $8k. I put about $4K in it. I've rebuilt the front end, transmission (shop built), new tires, rear end work, all new brakes/rotors/pads, rebuilt driveshaft..little motor work on things that needed replacing (prior owner didn't know what maintenance was).. It has a few scrapes/marks, but it runs as good as new.

Used Tacoma double cab 4x4 longbed
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

You guys have convinced me that it I am going to eff up no matter what I pick. haha
nah just stay away from a 2003-2007 ford truck and you will be fine. the newer ford f-150 with the 5.0 is also a good motor. as for a Silverado, the 07-10 have oil consumption issues that is an easy fix. I don1t much about a half ton dodge except the newer ones look good and get good fuel mileage. my only complaint about a Toyota is ride comfort. I don't care to rub elbows and shoulders with a guy and that will happen in a Tacoma. tru-talker drives a Nissan, that's reason enough to run from those.

The only Chevy I would ever buy would be pre-2000. Lol. Always buy used in your price range.

You might be better off finding you a nice car. Toyota Camry is about $18k brand new. Then find you a 4x4 that you can get dirty and don't mind taking it in the woods. You'll come in way less than $30k
