For youth dove hunts, I understand that the youth does not have to be the one actually shooting. I suppose for the youth deer hunts, they do need to be the one shooting, not just along for the hunt?

If thats the case, then i don't see the point in having a youth dove hunt.

The way it used to be, is a youth dove hunt had to have a youth shooting, but an adult could shoot as well. Deer, only the youth can hunt, since it is a special date.

the idea was to just get the kids introduced. A lot of them had their BB guns. I know mine did the first one we went to. Nice idea but some are really taking advantage of it by taking kids that are barely out of infancy in order to go on a free hunt.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I think it's great to take young'uns on any hunt to introduce them to the outdoors. Especially a dove hunt so they can have fun and see a lot of shooting too. Training tomorrow's hunters today!

I think its wonderful to take kids hunting as well, but if the hunt is not specifically for the youth, then its silly. Whats wrong with taking a kid on a regular dove hunt?
