Stepped outside this morning and a cool breeze took me back to the fall Saturdays of my youth. Lord, I miss the America of my youth.

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

You and me both, brother. And I loved listening to Leonard's Losers. My dad would always have it playing on the radio in the basement while he was down there piddling on Saturday mornings. Now I'm gonna have to see if I can't find some audio clips of it online somewhere.

My dad wasn't into sports, but me and my grandpa listen about every Saturday morning. I miss both.

This, and the Saturday "Pick of Dixie" game of the week kept a football addict going before cable tv made it to the boondocks.

I remember. Also remember Listening to Lum and Abner in the mornings before school. It was a different world then for sure.

Regular listener here. My Dad and I also listened to Paul Harvey every morning on the way to school, and I usually caught his "the rest of the story" in the afternoon after school. Those were great times.
