Throw a trophy rock in there and save the corn for now. Sounds like they have lots of groceries they prefer right now....

Take it out of the feeder and put it on the ground and I bet they'll come eat it.

Deer can naturally tell which plants are higher in protein and other nutrients. They will eat their preferred food sources first.

This time of year, Clorox is where it's at.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Lots of truth here.
1) is a bad time of year to get pics of deer eating corn.
2) the suggestion of getting it out of the feeder and throwing it on ground is good advice as well.
In my experience, mature deer prefer to eat corn strewn on the ground over eating corn that is in a feeder. ***unless the feeder has been there all of the deer's life. In that case, they usually aren't bothered by them.

We have never put feeders out in the summer so this was a surprise to me. I did get some pics early on when I slung it on the ground so maybe that's the next move. In the past when I have put corn out on the ground in the woods, I would have a mature buck show up within a day or two and never to return. This is why I usually don't bother with it during the season.
What about protein pellets? Has anyone seen any action on this in the summer?
