Need some advice on what I can spray on some wrist to arm sized bushes and shrubs that will kill them? Hopefully something that is systemic and kills the whole thing by spraying the limbs and leaves that can be sprayed out of a small hand pump up sprayer.
Roundup just ain't cutting it no matter how strong I mix it.
Need to purchase it in the Bham area.....any suggestions?
This stuff is on side of a very very steep hill in my backyard and cutting this stuff down ain't an option.
Thanks.

We made a pretty stout mix with roundup, 2,4D and crossbow. It might have only taken the xbow to kill the woody vegetation, but we nuked it all. Nothing wrist size like you describe, but it wiped out finger size diameter shrubs/bushes.

Don't have the answer.........but whatever the power company sprays their right of ways with. You never see a partial kill where they spray.

You may try some back and squirt applications to kill them. That may be easier than trying to spray a whole tree with a wrist sized trunk.

You need something with active ingredient "imazapyr". Arsenal and a corresponding generic was mentioned earlier.

That's what your looking for - Google is your friend

Be careful with the imazapyr and its generics, it kills everything in a radius of about 12 feet.

And being on a steep slope as mentioned, he may go from a brush problem to an erosion problem.

Do a little research and use some of what ol' Harvey Updike used on the oaks at Toomer's corner. Apparently, that stuff works!

Roundup is just overpriced Glyphosphate...ALL or them are gly no matter the name brand, eraser...cornerstone, etc...It the SAME thing unless otherwise listed.

I have no trouble killing privet with it at 4oz/gallon. Get it from a COOP or even lowes but get the offbrand 2.5 gallon jug for way less than half what they want for RU. Ive never understood why folks cant kill privet and shrubbery with regular old gly. I guess yall are using a spray bottle or something....soak that stuff down till it drips and its DEAD. thumbup

Add a few ounces of diesel to make it kick a little harder and cut through.

Ive got a line of brush I sprayed a few hundred feet long on our back driveway at work about two months ago thats got alot of privet in it. It looks like agent orange was dropped. Ill get a pic when I am back there next time. I used Nothing but gly.

On the Eighth day God created flounder.
