Does the card work I thought navionics premium would work on helix? What type of card is it is it the big one? will it work on hds gen 1 i am so tired of taking my card out of the.one on the console and putting it on the bow then remembering to move it back on the console.

Had the same issue. Saved my card maps on my computer and ordered a USB connector for the Helix 5. I should be able to copy the maps onto the unit that way. Had to spend an extra $69 with Humminbird tho, last thing they sell that I buy..

Not all of them do, says so right in the instructions that I missed. I didn't know it, but my new one does not, humminbird makes a USB port adaptor with a battery power supply. I thought it took a micro SD, so I ordered one, and there was nowhere to put it. I have downloaded the maps from the card on my computer and will then transfer them to the Helix 5 when the cable comes in. Really hacked me off.

Was it gold? Theres a difference between sonar charts and marine charts. If you want to have the greatest detail and be able to highlight certain points and water levels, you wont be able to do it with your navionics. Lakemaster is far more detail oriented when it comes to bird electronics

you can imagine my surprise when, after carefully researching exactly which card I needed :), I get the card in the mail, open up the compartment on the side to put it in and...no slot! It came as part of an equipment package on a new boat, so I dug through my paperwork, found the instructions, and sure enough in small print on the sheet it says "not all models have a card slot"...
