What would be a fair price for a turkey only membership for 1,000 acres +/- acres with lots of turkeys and very little turkey hunters in the "deer" club?

I would guess they should pay you around $15 per bird as a pest control fee.

I know of a club that had 1500 acres with an abundance of swamp chickens and they charged $600 per turkey only membership. Lost part of lease and have around 1000 now.

I've paid as little as a $1 an acre and up to $3 an acre depending on the size of the lease and proximity to my house. If it's close enough that I can get to it more often I've been willing to pay a little more.

Clubs with turkey only memberships tend to attract diehards (like myself). While it can be nice to meet like minded turkey addicts, these places can get too crowded in the spring. Ten serious turkey hunters need about 5,000 acres of pine/smz habitat to keep out of each other's way. In prime habitat, seems like 2500 acres is enough.

I was thinking about selling 25-30
Memberships at $500 each on 1000 or so acres.

Who's in?

I had 7000 acres this past season and it wasn't enough for more than 2 or 3 people in my opinion.
