Wondering if yall know of anyone in north AL that may be interested in buying some hardwood flooring from an old house on my property? This is an old homestead that was supposedly from the early 1900's. The floor, walls and ceiling are covered with tongue and groove (3" pine) and its in really good condition. The house needs a ton of work (new roof, siding, electrical,etc...) to get it livable and we don't have the time, money or energy to get it back in shape. House is about 1000sq ft so lots of wood in there. Is this worth selling? I figured someone would want it and I'll be glad to help with the tear out. I'm in Cullman and can send more pics upon request. Thanks for the help [img:left] [/img] [img:left] [/img]

I have a little house identical to yours (sounds like), and its built on RR ties. I thought it was run down until I really looked good. Re-wired the whole house for 1000.00. Wood on the floor, walls, and ceiling. Must have just been "how they did it" back then. Mines about 1000' with two chimneys.

I don't have a need for the wood but would love to see more pics of the place. I love old houses and barns.
