Don Bradford and I, along with our other 2 partners Mike Odom and Jamie Averitt, caught a bunch of hogs last weekend in the AHDHA Roundup Contest. We even got Lucky and were able to catch a few nice, old boars. Heck one of them was even good enough to win the Longest Tusk Division!!
I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the Fellowship and comraderie of the Competition. We poked a lot of fun and pushed each other's Teams to hunt hard!

Don must have done all of the work. He looks a lot more tired than you and Mike in that picture.

Don is sleeping on his feet getting ready to go again. It's an acquired ability!

It was a lot of fun, But 3 days with very little sleep takes a toll after you hit that "55" mark. That bed felt a lot better than those hills and briar patches that 4th morning

HaHa!!

I was BEAT! no doubt about it. I should have kept track of how many miles my Garmin had on it during the hunt. And, how many I walked/ran! Or, maybe I am better off not knowing! smile

Ha Ha, I'm not sure who's the rougher looking bunch... the hogs or hunters laugh

Not sure if we are going to be able to enter or not. My Vacation Days are already getting slim!

I meant to ask Joey the total number of hogs caught, brought in and the total weight weighed in. I will send him a message and try to get that. I think our Team caught a total of around 20 in the 3 days. We got into several large groups of sows & pigs on Saturday and the dogs kinda had their way with a bunch of the pigs. I am not sure if any of us kept up with a total number caught that day? But, it was a bunch!

I do know that there were some BIG hogs weighed in!
The 5 Hog Stringer Total Weight was won by some guys hunting peanut fields around the Atmore area. There biggest 5 hogs weighed in at 1339.5 lbs!!! That is a PILE of fat hogs!

It was a fun event that raised a lot of money that will go towards funding upcoming Wounded Warrior Hunts. Without them, there is a very good chance that none of us would be able to enjoy the Outdoors the way that we do!
