The best waders for the money imo are cabelas super mag. 1600 gram insulation 5 mm neoprene and DAMN WARM! You can usually get them for 225-260$ depending on sale prices. Ive duck hunted three days a week through the length of duck season for my whole life and I've used a lot of waders but these are the best I've ever used for the money. Beats drake or lacrosse anyday of the week!

Cabelas are good although some don't like the new boots in the supermags.

Rogers new wader line is very nice. Have their top-of-the-line 5 mm and they are amazing. Paid $200 shipped I think. I probably hunted them 12-14 days in Jan and won't look back.

I've worn a bunch of LaCrosse over the years and I'm pretty much done with them. 10 years ago, they made a great pair of waders but in the last 5 years I'm lucky to get 1 month of hunting out of theirs.

I've used a pair of cabelas supermags for several years and they just started leaking a couple of years ago. Bought a set of frogg toggs breathable waders and won't buy a pair of neoprene again.

Get the new banded insulated. I have had lacrosse and currently have the new eqwaders by drake but they sont hold a light for the comfort of the bandeds. Not to mention the bandeds are very warm. I felt like i could run a Marathon in the bandeds they were so comfortable.

Rogers Sporting Goods' "Toughman" waders - same "stats" as Cabelas Supermags, but significantly cheaper.

5mm/1600's for $150-160 and free shipping. also have 3.5mm for a little cheaper.
https://www.rogerssportinggoods.com/apparel/waders/rogers-2014-5mm-toughman-standard-waders.html

I have the older version of the toughman waders and love them. my ONLY complaint is they're cut a little low on the sides, so if you're short like me, and in water well over your waist, it can get kinda iffy. Now, they look to have redesigned them a little and they don't appear to be quite as low-cut as mine. otherwise, GREAT waders.

they may be great, but I just can't get on board with Banded anything, knowing this doosh is their spokesman.

Im not to concerned about who endorses what as long as they are comfortable. For all I care a monley could wear them and as long as they did the job I would buy them. Now just to be clear I would never hunt with anyone like this nor be associated with them but that is just my preference. To each their own.

Depends on the temperature. If it's freezing, I'd go 5mm

around here, 3.5 will probably be fine. You may have to layer a little bit on those super-cold days but on the warmer ones, you'll probably be happy with the 3.5's

If you have to do any amount of walking at all, and the temp gets in the 40's or above, 5mm will burn you down in a hurry
