Taking out playoff contenders in the very first game of the year. I think that's a good move. Ohio State would've gotten destroyed by just about any SEC team in an opener last season. They lost to Virginia Tech AT HOME and still made it in

Ohio State was the best team for the last few games. A loss to Virginia tech at home is inexcusable if you ask me. No way Bama loses to West Virginia and then goes undefeated and is in the playoff. Ohio state did not play one decent team until they saw Bama in the sugar bowl. Yes I know they won out but they should never have been there. A national champion should be the best team the whole year. So who do you think should have been crowned National Champions?

So Ohio St. shouldn't have been crowned NC because they won outright but 3 of the 4 posted about should be even though they were eliminated by OS or was eliminated by one of the teams that OS beat? You're not serious are you?

Ohio State was the best team at the end of the season. I'm not sure that's what the playoff committee was supposed to determine. It seemed like they compared wins and losses and it seemed like TCU had a better resume because their only loss was against Baylor, who was a top 5 team the whole season. If you look at Alabama's loss, Ohio State's loss, Baylor's loss, and TCU's loss, (they all had one loss) you'd have them ranked: TCU, Bama, Baylor, Ohio State. Then throw Oregon and FSU into the mix. Somehow Ohio State really won over the media and that helped them. Their loss to VA Tech was the worst loss of any of the teams in the discussion and they had the weakest schedule of all the playoff contenders. They still won though

I saw the DII championship game a couple years ago get played by two teams with a combined 5 losses. How were they the best teams. Because they got into the playoffs and did something the "best" teams couldn't do.....win.

They won out but should not have been in playoff. None of the other teams lost at home to a .500 team during the season. I'm not saying they weren't the best team at the end of the season but they were not the best through the whole season. Just not a fan of a playoff. I saw the DII championship game a couple years ago get played by two teams with a combined 5 losses. How were they the best teams. They got hot through playoffs. You think a team has to be the best team for the whole season to win a NC? LSU was clearly the best team in the nation all season a few years ago but they lost the rematch with Alabama. Should Alabama not have won the NC since they weren't the best team for the whole season?

We should have kept the BCS in my opinion. We went back in time about 30 years by letting a group of people fully decide the "best" teams.
OSU would have beat any college team that they would have played during the last 3 games, but that 2td VaTech loss at home was the worse loss ever by a champion.

Look Auburn, we know you lost 4 of your last 5 games last season but you beat Samford during that run and no one will take that away from you.

Sure wish lame kitten & phucking williams was GONE!!!!! I thought Kiffin did a decent enough job for his first year, He had the best Offense in the SEC.

My issue is not his abilities with a Qb..It's his lack of wanting to run run run run run the ball..I'm afraid it's gonna bite bama in the ass again this year
