anything there for Mrs Gomer and I to take a day trip to see/do?

Prettiest lake east of the Mississippi about 15 min from town. There is really not a lot of sight seeing around town though.

Go to Smith Lake. Call somebody who knows what the heck is going on to take you fishing. Go back to Jasper and eat some Mexican supper and go home.

Don't spend a lot of time at walmart after dark.

I don't know why these fools are telling you to go to Smith lake. No fish in Smith lake. Don't waste your time. Nothing but ski boats and jet ski's.

There has been some pretty good stringers coming out of the lake over the past couple years.

Between now and July you can get on a big flat and catch 3+lb spots and the occasional stripe on top water in the early mornings.

haleyville al,
Their is a mall and a hobby lobby. Smith is just up the road. As far as eats. Johnny Bruscos for pizza or ride over to carbon hill and eat at laceys. I would suggest eating lunch in carbon hill. It turns into crackville after dark. Their is a awesome strip club not far from jasper called Wesleys if that your thing laugh

Don't go to wesley booby trap...they have 5 dancers and between all 5 they still wouldn't have a full set of teeth

Second Lacey's in Carbon Hill. If y'all want to hit the mentioned strip joint/ Wesley's Booby Trap, you might want to take you a couple sets of false teeth with you and pass them out to the dancers since most of them won't be able to make up a full set of teeth between them all. rofl
I know, I'm going straight to hell for that one......

Black Rock Bistro is pretty good.
Los Reyes for Mexican.

Nothing real exciting to do in Jasper. I would stay in Tuscaloosa unless you just want to go somewhere.

Absolute truth. Was in there about 15 years ago with my bro in law. This young girl who couldn't have been but a few months past 18 sat down beside me. She smiles...lol...and asked me to buy her a drink. I could have stuck my finger between her front teeth. lol The "smokin hot" dancer was as high as a kite. Real homely girls there. I wonder if "Big Tits" Lily is still in there?? Anyway...we bought a shirt and got all the girls to sign it. I couldn't wear it anywhere because of what they wrote. So my wife eventually threw the shirt away. But we had a ball in there.

Go to Sammy's if your looking for a strip joint. You'll enjoy more.

So, Ya'll goobers are wanting him to take Mrs. Gomer to a strip bar. That's redneck class at it's finest right there. Or he could just hop on over to Cullman and buy a trailer from this guy.
