I have a 1947 Toyota Tacoma 5 cylinder that was manufactured in 2001 and I drive every day to work 7,098 mile round trip. It is stock with 78 unicorn power (200 hp) It makes its own fuel and the only thing I've ever had to do to it is rotate the headlights and change the wax ring under the seat. It pulls my little red wagon like it's not even back there! Hell DC and yekrut can ride with the windows down and there is only a slight power difference due to their ears flapping in the wind. Been thinking about selling it. Just not sure anyone can afford it. These damn things go up in value with every mile. Kinda smells like farts but I like it. laugh

Mine (same year model and engine) has never skipped a beat. 1,567,293 miles on it and still going strong! The only thing I've had to replace is the tires about every 500k

Yea the pair that I'm running now I found in my back yard dry rotted with about 20 percent tread left on them and the way it's looking they are only gonna make it to around 375k before I have to swap em! rofl

No. Have you never seen the 47 yotas or what?!? It only has tires on the front. It just has rims on the back for better traction! Do some research!

I see more Toyota engines in a week than most folks see in a lifetime. That count?

Nope. If you've never owned a 47 model you wouldn't know grin

My Dad was born in 47 and has one that was given to him at birth. He applied for social security and was denied. He registered the truck and now he gets double! He drives it down to their office in Bessemer every month because he's afraid the mailman will break down.

I've got a 48 model and use it to pull my 600' catle trailer. I just wish i had a goose neck hitch in it so I could pull an 800' trailer.

I only have 11,345,972 miles on it. It is due its second oil change pretty soon.

I have a '52 model with 17 light years on it.

Just put my first set of brake pads on 'er last week...figured I might as well rotate the tires while I was at it.

If I remember right, in 1955 they had the optional ky dispensor in the glove box but the rear end was bad about getting loose.
