Your Lock-on
This is a first but has me scratching my head. I think I just put one to bed, right at 5? I was really just trying to scout some for in the morning and ended up spotting a nice Tom about 100 yards off. I just watched him feed for a while and all of a sudden he flew up and treed. I'm thinking this could be an old bird that turns in early or maybe a bobcat spooked him. Whats the earliest you have ever tucked one in for the night? I know this much, me and my Quaker Boy will be there come daylight and we will see what happens!

If he flew up at 5 he may or may not be there tomorrow am. Something probably spooked him. Sometimes they'll sit tight if they spook close to roost time, so he might be there, but don't bank on it. LOT of light left from 5 until dark.

Phil, I still haven't sat down on a bird. Neither have I heard a bird anywhere I could hunt him.

Wife is about to have a baby. Soon.
