I've had an echo for the last 4 years. Cranks on the second pull every time. You aren't going to go wrong with echo, Stihl, or Husqvarna. They all make good weed eaters.

I have an Echo srm-2100 that is 16 years old and it has been run hard. If it quit tomorrow I would go buy another one.

Troy Bilt 4 stroke bought from Lowes 11-12 years ago. Still running. Taking care of it is the key. A person can spend $1,000.00 on a weedeater and if they don't take care of it, it won't be any better than a $69.99 Walmart weedeater.

I bought my dad a redmax (don't remember the model) 14 years ago and it still runs strong. He uses it about every 3 weeks in growing months to keep about 150 yards of a ditch knocked down.

Get a RedMax. The end.

Alright, this is kinda crazy since we both have "cold cranking" problems out of our Honda engine pressure washers, but I also have a 4 stroke Troy Bilt weed eater...and it's at least a dozen years old. Like yours, it works great. Had to have the carb rebuilt on it once due to ethanol fuel, but otherwise, it's never given me one bit of problem.

when I buy an echo weedeater I throw away the head and put a t25 husquavarna head on it, and use one size larger line. Echo makes the best combination of light, cheap, and quality that ive seen. I would rather pay 100 more to get a good weedeater than I would to pay 3000 more to get a good mower.

I've had a Husq 223L for the last 5 years. Works great. Fired up 3rd pull after sitting up all winter.

Just run every bit of gas out of them in the winter and they'll all last good. Never let one sit with gas in it for long.

I have to admit that I never run all of the gas outta mine in the winter.I have never had a minutes trouble out of either one of mine in 19 years but I think it may be due to the fact that in addition to the 2cycle oil I also put 1 ounce of Marvel Mystery oil to every gallon of gas I use for all of my small engines. My grandaddy was a firm believer in the stuff and I have used it for as long as I have been using power equipment.

Mine came with one of those heads where you precut a piece of line and insert it in a hole that has a spring loaded thing that holds it in. Good time saver and cuts out the frustration I always had trying to rewind spools with line.

grin Yeah, that is kind of strange. Only thing I've done to my weedeater is replaced the fuel lines.

I've got a Kawasaki weedeater that I've had for at least 10 years. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

I have echo weedeaters, blower, and edger. This is the 3rd year for the blower and 4th year for the others and the only thing I have had to do is change a primer bulb took about 5mins. I cut around 20 yards a week with them!

The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week.
Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.

The only time a married woman gives those is if your not married to them!
