The season doesn't start over here till April 1st, so we'll have to get together, I have a couple of great places! But I need a buddy with patience, I always seem to get up too soon!

Patience for turkey hunting is all I have.

I'll get to go in the morning, not sure if I'll try Tuscaloosa or go over to Mississippi. Maybe I'll get on one, brother heard about 75 gobbles this morning, so as long as it don't rain too much they should still be fired up!

Pulled my SD cards today in the rain. Had some good pics! I can't wait till April 1st to get started on these birds!!!

Mississippi was great the last 3 mornings, although I haven't closed the deal on one yet. They gobbled great, and I got to watch 'em all over the place. Have had hens in my lap, but the Toms stay safe out past 75 yards. That place is so hard to hunt because it's all field, and then big woods on one side. No cover to make a move.

Ahhhhhh field birds. They will make you mean.

Leaving for tx and ok Thursday after work. Tx opens Saturday and ok opens Monday and we have 18 tags between 3 of us.

Well I've missed 2 so far. The one I missed today was a dandy. Don't know how to shake the curse

Where in Texas are you going Yekrut? I used to live in a small town in west Tx, "Eldorado" killed my first 3 turkeys there!

I haven't had a Tom close enough for a shot yet, but I've got lots pictures of birds I can't even hunt till April 1st!

We will be just south of I40 where it comes into the panhandle of north Texas.

That's beautiful country up there, my family used to visit Palo Duro Canyon outside of Amarillo, I always loved going there and riding horses, felt like a cowboy!!

We heard them gobbling up at the power line, by a shooting tower. As we approached they were leaving away from us to a corn field. No hens! So i tried to call them back, but they kept walking away. I then grabbed my gobble call and let 'em have it! And that started "Gobblemeggeden" they went crazy!! It was amazing!! All three turning and came running to us as we were set up leaning on the steps to the tower. When they got to 20 yards, I told my buddy to shoot, and after he did, I lit this one up, but he missed his. It should've been a double, but at least we got one! GREAT morning!!!
