I'm from Maryland and I'm not very firmilar with any of alabama. Just don't want to waste my time on a spring gobbler hunt down there if it's not worth it. I would appreciate any help. Thanks

Of the 67 counties in Alabama, Macon county is one of the best counties in the state for deer and turkey hunting. Top 5 in my opinion. If there is any timber on the place you should have no problem killing a deer or finding a turkey. Parker243 8 point Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 1,634	I hunted my whole life in Macon County outside of Union Springs near fort davis and armstrong. We had around 800 acres and it was absolutely amazing. The deer numbers were unreal, and the turkey hunting was great too. I'd do anything to still be down there.
