I can't say enough good things about this stuff. Our club has mostly red clay soil that gets pretty dry in the summer. The sunn hemp didn't seem to mind. It's one of the few plants I've seen that can withstand the browse pressure of our high deer density. I'm planting mine at the end of April.

Try it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I'm wanting to buy a few pounds(5-10) from somebody. I don't need a whole bag.

Too small of a plot can get decimated, and your left with a field full of weeds. If your deer density is high, i wouldn't plant anything smaller than an acre. I'll be mixing some in with some buckwheat, you might try that on a smaller plot.
