Has anybody tried the roundup 365? Does it last all summer? I would love to just spray fences and around the house just once as opposed to 8 or more times a year.

They make herbicides specifically for killing everything down to the bare ground. If you use it according the the instructions and apply at the appropriate rate, you should be fine. If you're one of those "if a little is good, then a lot is a lot better" guys, don't use those type products.

It's not glyphosate only. Most of that is gimmick marketing for non informed consumers.

They advertise the 365 to kill for a whole year and I know the standard 41 gly don't last but a few weeks. I was just wondering if anyone had tried it yet.

Man it's watered down gly, imazapic and diquat. All at very low rates. Don't believe all you see with their advertising.

Or you can buy a quart bottle of Polaris (generic arsenal) for $32 and mix 41% Gly and now you're laying the smack down on some weeds!

Yeah I've been told if you spray Imazapyr (Arsenal, Chopper, Polaris, etc) within DOUBLE the drip line, you can kill the **** out of MATURE hardwood trees.

The drip line, for those who don't know, is the furthest point branches or limbs get from the trunk (imagine where the tree would shade the ground to with the sun directly overhead). Imazapyr sprayed within this line (NOT NECESSARILY on the tree or its leaves directly) can be injurious or fatal to hardwoods.

Now imagine DOUBLING that distance. Allegedly THATS how close you can spray Imazapyr to a hardwood and kill it.

Imazapyr also has a LONG residual. Spray it on a slope and get ready to watch a new Grand Canyon begin to form.

Roundup is one thing, and can be very damaging with ham fisted, uninformed use, but it's like comparing big firecrackers to a military mortar when you're talking about Imazapyr.

You could EASILY do $100k of damage with $100 worth of it. Be careful fella's. Unless I'm mistaken it's a restricted use herbicide as well. Wonder how many plotters on here have a license for it? I don't. I've got the books from Auburn, but haven't taken the USDA course to get the license.

Not restricted there Rob but it can run but I believe you've mistaken it's potency a bit. You really gotta use 2x or higher rates for all that killing. I use Polaris and gly on my fence rows they stay clean but I spray under oaks and they're fine. But I use it according to label. But in abused situations it could be dicey. And oh yea the online RUP test is a joke just like the old paper test was. No problem passing it with little to no study.

Esplanade EZ. Might want to split it with someone because it only comes in 2.5 gallon but it works great around the farm, gravel lots, etc.

You can buy Arsenal from Forestry Suppliers, I think it is 53%. That stuff is like Brylcream, a little dab will do ya.

Yeah, this is the big one... I still have some Polaris left after dinging up some trees here on my fence but it was mixed a touch hot probably slap

I use Crossbow on my fences and around my gates. Does a very good job of killing just about everything.

I get it at the co-op.

The key with gly, is to spray weeds when their young, before they've went to seed. Therotically, if you spray gly on a young weed, it will die, and without seed falling to the ground or soil disturbance,it should last a heck of a lot longer than a couple weeks. Co-op sells stuff called bare ground. Arsenal, i think is a brand name.

There is no Imazapyr in Roundup 360. It has, instead, Imazapic. This is the same stuff in Cadre, Plateau, Impose, etc.

Whole different animal.

No one ever said imazapyr. We were just throwing out tank mixes. I clearly stated way above it had imazapic. It's still watered down BS either way

My bad. I read all the references to Arsenal, Polaris, etc. (Imazapyr) and assumed wrongly.

The fact that it's watered down BS is of no consequence to me. I've never used the 360 product and likely never will so I wasn't speaking in support of it.
