I know that studies with deer have shown that deer cannot see the hot colors so they cannot see hunter orange. But was wondering about turkeys. Can turkeys see orange? Any studies been done on their color vision?

I'm convinced turkeys can see the whites of your eyes. Have had them freak out too close to me enough times when I was barely breathing and the only thing showing was my eyeballs.

Last weekend I hunted with a cap that had some orange trim. It was the only one in my truck. I covered that little bit of trim with mud. Their vision is unreal.

One cool morning years ago, had one bust me by seeing the fog of my breath.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

If they could smell a human we'd never know that they existed.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I had a few walk by my tree with orange on (about 20 ft up). It didn't bother them. Of course they probably knew it wasn't turkey season.

Nah, they still have to move in daylight and you could just deer hunt them. If a mature buck can be killed with a bow a turkey could be killed as long as you didn't give your position away.

Me and my now wife were hunting off the ground several years ago. Leaned back against a huge beech tree and 8-10 hens walked right by use both wearing hunters orange and no face masks. After they came by she looked at me and said I thought their vision was supposed to be unreal. I said it is. She said obviously and went back to reading her kindle.......

Give me bout 15 more minutes, I was dreamin about beavers..........
