I am watching on destination America channel about a ghost in Cullman that got physical with a guy that grew up there. It just came on so nothing to report yet. I know some of you know the guy, he got back from deployment in October 2009.

I see a girl named Tonya carter he started dating and they smell smoke in the house. The program is called when ghosts attack.

Don't think I've heard this one. What was the story?

It's been on a couple of times. I just wonder where the house is.

Nothing scares me more than the memory of seeing the face in the courthouse window in Carrolton. I was probably 5 or 6 when I saw it for the first time.

I've always wanted to do a tour to see the "13 Alabama Ghosts" from the original book, which I have.

Clem, it is a shame you didn't come speak with Ms. Katherine before she passed away. She loved visitors and telling those stories. All it took was going to her house, knocking on the door, introducing yourself and tell her you liked her stories. That was all it took to get the ball rolling. A very gracious southern lady.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

If you believe the Bible, and I do, there are no such thing as ghost ( as in Aunt Sally hanging out in the attic). There is the Holy Spirit, AKA Holy Ghost, but the Bible says to be absent from this body is to be present with The Lord. When a person dies, they stand in judgement and their soul is either in heaven or hell. There is no in between.

There are however demons and many of them. I do believe there are unexplained things that go bump in the night, but they are demonic forces. However, demons, or Satan himself, cannot do anything that God does not allow.

It's very dangerous to be messin around with demonic things. Seances, Ouija Boards, inviting spirits, etc. is a no go. I believe Satan can do many evil thing with that stuff.

I didnt say all that to sound condescending, just discussing. I also find alot of these stories and events interesting. I think it's human nature to be curious, but you have to be careful. I don't think it's something to play with.

I will say this before I'm done. Years ago, in high school, I went with some buddies once to a local grave yard. I've heard all kinds of tales. Well, we went and drove around like the rumor said to do. Nothing happened, but when we finished, we got out and was talking.

Plain as day, I saw a woman setting on a park bench. Ill never forget it. She had on a long dress that came to her ankles and long flowing hair. There was a light behind her, so I saw her silhouette. The wind was blowing her dress and hair to one side, and it flapped in the breeze. It freaked us out and we left, but about a half mile down the road, curiosity got the best of us. We turned around, but when we got back it was gone.

That's the only thing I've ever seen, but it gave me the creeps.

Gaaa. That just kills me. Would have loved to met her and talked with her. 13AGaJ is one of my favorite books ever. I was given my copy in 1979 as a present and then in 1999 someone (I can't remember who) had Ms. Tucker inscribe it for us as a wedding present.

I have it on my book shelf next to The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, To Kill a Mockingbird and Tom Kelly's Tenth Legion.

Yeah, I thought about that after I posted. If often wondered about "friendly ghost", if they were angles.

My wife has told me numerous times about an old woman in a wheel in her parents house. She has seen her four or five times over the years. My MinL has also seen her.

My mind automatically went to this old Bible story when Jesus came "walking on the sea". Apparently ghosts were a topic in the "Bible" days. LOL

Late at night, the boat was far out at sea; Jesus was still by himself on land. He could see his men struggling with the oars, the wind having come up against them. At about four o’clock in the morning, Jesus came toward them, walking on the sea. He intended to go right by them. But when they saw him walking on the sea, they thought it was a ghost and screamed, scared out of their wits.
