Yep When they decided to enforce the Game Animal Laws concerning hogs on dog hunters and still hunters, it was quickly pointed out that trapping ANY Game Animal was illegal as well. Not sure about the whole 'furbearer' thing..... BUT, if it helps increase opportunities and clears confusion on the Law, I am all for it!

If they do classify them as furbearers trappers will still only be able to sale the meat during trapping season.
If Chuck wants them gone that bad he should name hogs and coyotes a nuisance and put a bounty on both of them.

I still can`t figure out why hogs are classified as game animals....just plain stupid if you ask me Tennessee figured that one out and now classify them as a invasive species. Outside of deer season you can hunt them over bait day or night with no permit required.

I agree, Nighthunter! I just hate that our Legislative process is SO slow and that the DCNR is having to work 'around' conflicts instead of having an open agenda and things being handled properly in a timely manner. That said, I do appreciate the fact that people are at least trying!

Outside of deer season you can hunt them over bait day or night with no permit required. In Florida they are considered the property of the land owner and can be hunted, killed, trapped etc. day or night any time of the year. They are only treated as a game animal on state lands or management areas.

Again, it was mainly just to ask for the folks on here all the time not to say things that might stick in other folks mind. We have a hard enough time Know what I mean.
