$5 is way to much to roll down that old boat ramp into free public waters. Some people fish 15 days a month or more, especially retirees. That's a pretty big hit to the wallet.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Lets say i go fishing 4 days each month, one day each weekend. That's $20. On top of the boat tag I had to buy. On top of the fishing license I had to buy. On top of the taxes on gas I had to buy. All of this is STATE TAX MONEY.

You forgot about the tax on the case of beer you take.

It's like $3 dollar gas & $5 tobacco, everyone one will bitch but in the end they will still pay. That's just one more reason to turn every legal bass into 2 fillets. Will fish for food.

Every ramp I have seen at lay lately has been $5 as well.

$5 bucks is ridiculous. I launched at goose pond yesterday for $2 and there are numerous free ramps on gville and smith.

It's been $3 at Rand Cooper State Park for years, but I'm sure the increase will take place now that they are re-doing it.

Fished Eufaula this past weekend and it was $4 launch there and $3 if you bought the pass though the federation. And if I understood correctly, camping or staying in the cabins/hotel, no longer has included launch.

Costs me $15 to launch my boat in Texas. $5 sounds like a bargain to me.
