Had a spider monkey growing up.
All you right there Matt Negative ghost rider. I'm terrified of primates. You ever seen a spider monkey lose it's cool? Does it involve a ceiling fan and tic tacs? I've heard part of a story about that.

My baby sister had a pet tarrantula she named Michelle after her boss who she disliked. She fed it live crickets that she bought at a pet store. After 3 or 4 years she found the crickets munching on Michelle, who had passed away in the middle of the night. My Dad had a pet crow he raised from an egg. He taught it to talk and it taught itself to make a hawk cry to piss off their chickens. He had it for several years until it flew away with some wild crows.

Got one girl that breeds ball pythons for really odd color combinations and patterns. I think she and her fiance have around 15-20 ball pythons in her trailer. Again, strange cookies.

I had a Red Fox once that I caught in a dip net swimming across Neely Henry with it's mom and several other little ones. It stank so bad we had to turn it loose.
Several years ago I was out in the yard and I noticed a momma squirrel and several little squirrels in an oak tree. I walked up to the driveway to look at them and all of the little ones come down out of the tree and came to me. I bent down and took my index finger and pet one of them on my head and the next thing I knew I had yearling squirrels sitting on my shoulders and on top of my head. They acted like they loved to be petted. Their momma sat in the tree squealing and I kept my eye on her to make sure she didn't attack, I could tell she didn't like them being around me one bit. I petted them several times after that but finally quit when they started biting. They never did bite me bad, it was just a little pinch here and there. It was just a matter of time before one sunk in though and I knew it.

Any animal that knows to $hit in its hand and throw it at people has to be awesome. But I don't want the Herpes A-Z those little demons carry. Ours was named Mary, her first day out of the cage. She took off her diaper, climbed the curtains and slung poo at mom. Mom with a broom and the monkey went round and round. After that, Mary the monkey was exiled to the back yard where she lived for a few years out back in the trees. She would come down and get on the roof where we could hand her bananas.
