Crockrj- how do you like that Montana BGA sight? I'm trying to decide between that one and a Spott Hog. Have a buddy in Montana that swears by the Black Gold for elk hunting. I've had the Spott Hogg in the past and is a great sight but I really like the MBG Ascent. The pins are super bright. I like the three pins because I can keep my 20, 30, & 40 set and if I need to shoot farther, the 40 (.10) becomes the floater and dial it to my desired yardage. I was practicing before I went out west, to 92 yards. Its a solid, no frills, and about $100 cheaper sight than Spott Hogg.

If you want a single pin, go with a HHA. Spot Hogg if you want a multi pin.

Which pin size is on your hha? Is the dial model better than the slider model? Worth the xtra $$ I prefer the dial personally. I have had both.

I use a .019" pin and mine has the dual. I leave it set on 20 yards and I have yet to have it cost me a shot on a deer. If anything it will help slow and calm you down. The past couple of seasons I have started trying to range every deer before taking a shot and adjusting my dial accordingly.

I used a MBG single pin this year. It is a nice sight. But I'm thinking about going back to a multipin. I've bee looking at the IQ retina lock. Anybody tried one?
