Try this. Add a column next to the current times. In the new cell right next to the time type "='cell reference of original time'+ .021". This should give you the time plus 30 min. I'm not sure why it is .021 but it is. I'm not sure I understand your second question. Give me a littel more information and I may be able to help. Feel free to PM me your email address and I can send you a formula with the first part if you like. That works....so my second problem......I have a group of surveys that are 1 hour in length. During these surveys I have several observations that occurred throughout the hour long survey period. The time of each observation was recorded. What I need is to designate any of the observations made in the first 30 minutes as "A" observations and any observations made in the last 30 minutes as "B" observations. Thanks Brian
