I'm just curios how many people prefer to see deer pics "long armed" or pics taken closer to the hunters body? I personally like to see the pics closer to get a better/more accurate judgement on the animal. For all purposes, size of body, horns, head, or whatever it may be. I've heard quite a few people say they prefer it the other way, and just want to know am I alone on this one...

It doesn't bother me either way. If you wanna long arm it, go for it. If you wanna short arm it, go for it. If you wanna dress up in your Sunday's best with all of your buddys and take a picture with it, go for it. I prefer just a regular ole picture though.

I enjoy seeing quality pictures taken. In a lot of situations, its all you have to remember a hunt by. It takes very little time to get a decent camera and get the light right, and find a nice background to capture a great memory. I like seeing an accurate depiction of the animal so thats what I shoot for when taking pictures and it doesn't involve long arming.

I think it makes the person look silly. But I don't care one way or another.

Most pics now days are long armed, it's the art of taking a decent 115-120" and making it appear in the 130-140" range!! Actually that pisses me off when people do that and then claim higher score than what it is, I wished inhad the heart to call them out when they post BS pics like that. I like to take good pics as well but don't see any need in long arming or foolery. You can take a good pic at the right angle with the right light and it'll look just as good if not better. Take a pic of your deer, not what you wanted your deer to be!! I will say this much though there are people who just snap a pic and others who go to the extreme to make the buck appear bigger, but when you see a guy holding a buck real close to him with his hands wrapped around the base and the buck looks big in those pics, then it really is a halse!!

You also have to remember that most photo's are taken with an Iphone. These cameras have nothing as a lens on it which appears to make the photo look a little fisheyed. I don't think most people even think about it. I will take a couple of photos using my photo and a good digital camera tomorrow and post them.

If that bothers you, do not open any threads from TCHunter or Jsh1904 this week. No telling how they will be posed with a deer. They could make everyone forget about ke*mack and his friend.

It doesn't bother me either way, I was just saying how I preferred to see pics. I personally don't get any pleasure making people think my fish or deer is bigger than it really is. But that's just me

if you see a long arm pic then you can guarantee it is a buck that the person in the photo considers smaller than they would like. on the other hand i believe that most fish pics need to be long armed to show the true size of the fish, for some reason fish dont look their true size in pics unless you long arm them. i have a few examples on photobucket.
