A good buddy invited me down to Portland landing area to hunt this morning. They have a little piece swamp property along the Alabama river and shoot NO does! this friggin place was Awesome, classic swamp bottomland, moss draped trees with sloughs, ducks, turkeys and loaded with deer. I saw 25+ deer from 6:45-10:30, my head was on a swivel, deer in almost every direction. Had 2 different groups of young bucks running does all over and around me. Saw 6 different racked bucks, one Huge mystery deer cruised the edge of the slough and was gone before i got a good look at him. One buck was a STUD 8 point but had broken his entire right main beam off, so I let him walk after watching him for about 10 mins cruising the does. Had a doe with twins feed around within 75 yds for over an hour. It was like a zoo. Between three of us we saw 64 deer, 15 were racked bucks. Did I mention they shoot No Does, so they paid you no attention. My buddy shot what he thought was an eight, he actually shot a Monster 5 point, just over 200lbs with a 19" spread and almost 4" bases. It is the Biggest 5 point I have ever seen! And then he had a STUD 10 cruise by about 10 min later. Lol. It was a great morning I will not soon forget. What do you think he would score?

That is a stud 5 point. Pretty cool
