I have been blessed with the best daughter and hunting partner a dad could ever ask for. She started hunting with me when she was five And had some really good seasons as a teenager but when she started college her luck went south but she continued to go hunting with her dad all these years with no kills. After shot he ran 30 yards into the middle of the field. He began feeding. But he was walking with a noticeable limp on his front shoulder where impact took place. Unsure if the follow-up shots hit the buck because he did not seem affected by them. He was limping and I have about a 40 yard blood trail that leads into some heavy briars. I've peaked around the briars and I do not see him. This happened around 7 AM today. A tracking dog is not a legal option in this county. I'm going back into the woods in a little bit after giving him some more time. The blood trail is light. This picture is where he spent the most time feeding.
