The differences brought Williams and his mother closer to Auburn, while pushing them further from Alabama.

Williams describes the differences like this:

"It's hard to describe. Alabama is so high-maintenance, they try and make things more than what they are. It's so serious with Saban, and that's fine, but it's like a job and you're in the NFL and money is on the line. I get that with scholarships and the potential to play pro ball, but we're also in college.

"Auburn is a more genuine staff, school Auburn is like they're going to be taking care of me, it's a job, but it's life and we're supposed to have fun, too. Auburn is more real, this is what you're going to get, this is the kind of people we are, we aren't going to sugar coat anything. They aren't going to say things they don't mean, mislead you. There's more love at Auburn."

Can you describe the difference Burbank? Bandwagon boogs always love to talk about the Auburn experience like they lived it. You are correct, he does get it, but you never will.

Easily.

Auburn has a different atmosphere. All it takes is a few visits to feel it.

It is laughable that you "think" you have a clue about my connection to Auburn.

lol yea an 18 year old football recruit's opinion is the law. "Auburn is more real" lol "There's more love at Auburn" lol

There's also more losses, more instability, and less chance to make the NFL

I wonder if that kid gets this.

Since 2009

Alabama has a record of 72 - 9.
Auburn's record in that time is 53-26

Alabama: 3 National Titles
Auburn: 1 National Title

Alabama: 3 SEC Championships
Auburn: 1 SEC Championship

Alabama: 1 head coach
Auburn: 3 head coaches (At least y'all won one stat)

Alabama: 40 NFL draft picks.
Auburn: 15 NFL draft picks.

Alabama: 16 First Round NFL draft picks.
Auburn: 4 First Round NFL Draft picks.

So what exactly does he "get"?

By his comments it sounds like the kid is there to party instead of doing the work it takes to make it to the next level. I bet he's going to make y'all a fine one. thumbup

He'll get a dose of reality when practice starts. He'll realize that Auburn was in fact the ones that told him what he wanted to hear instead of the truth.

Why did you leave out 2008 BC?

Also, you missed a barn SEC championship.

2009 Alabama 8-0
2010 Auburn 8-0
2011 LSU 8-0
2012 Alabama 7-1
2013 Auburn 7-1
2014 Alabama

Last year
Auburn 8-5
Alabama 12-2 sec champs

55-44

Burbank if you ask ANY recruit why they chose one school over another they are going to give a similar answer. School X felt like home, etc.etc. Good luck to him.

The only connection to Auburn that you have is the shirt you bought from Wal Mart that says War Eagle. Nothing more, nothing less than the typical bandwagon fan.

AU has set the bar high for this year with all the "big hires" in the offseason. AU never does good when expectations are high. They'll probably fire Gus mid-season and let Muschamp coach them in the Duck Commander Bowl

Fambly does indeed rule, but they aren't referring to sidewalkers when they state that claim.
I love to play. I'll be here all day. Thanks.

This thread is funny...

Alabama fans making fun of sidewalk fans slap

Every fanbase has them but Alabama has more than anyone else. Comes with being arguably the most popular college football team in America. So, just by volume UA has more idiots in their fanbase...

Bottom line, you get what you pay for in this world. Hard work, commitment and dedication are things that a lot of young kids don't associate well with in todays world. It is not all about having fun, when your program is shelling out millions of dollars each year to be the best it can be.

That's why I have high hopes for my DAWGS next year.

No doubt! We've had this discussion on here before that Bama openly accepts and sidewalk fans while AU on the other hand hates the side walkers and makes t shirts mocking their rivals saying, I wear this shirt because I graduated from Auburn, you are wearing that shirt because you bought it at Wal mart. It's a great market ploy btw and fires up a fan base that is already tight knit and truly believes this. Just sharing that Burbank is an unwanted and unworthy AU fan and that he embarrasses the true Auburn man and is everything that they stand against. Don't shoot the messenger.

Auburn is just special and rearbreed thinks he has broken the family code.

I think the real rub with Auburn folks are people that barely graduated HIGH SCHOOL dogging the academics of an institution of higher learning.

Love the team if you want, leave the University out of it. This goes for both sides.

You know, like an ag parts salesman that makes fun of a cow college.

I didn't write the code, I just watch others live by it and when the Burbanks of the world are laughed and mocked by most AU fans which usually are AU alumnus. My family is half Auburn and they bring it up every time we discuss AU/Bama. So does every friend I know that ever went to Auburn. They kinda live by this creed and it IS something that is unique to AU. It's nothing I broke.
I'm out of Ag parts and sell construction equipment parts btw and I've never made fun of Auburn as a school, it's a great school, and I have many friends and fambly that attended. They are wonderful people, I just make fun of the fans that AU fans can't openly make fun off.
Trolling my profile page Burbank, it's really getting to you.
